Description

The Granite Gear Blaze 60 backpack is built to go the distance. The pack features an adjustable suspension system, durable but lightweight fabrics, and a convenient entry that lets you access the entire pack with ease.

The adjustable frame has specific adjustment points to lock in your exact torso size. The adjustable dual-density hip belt fits waists ranging from 26"-42” and also features hip stabilizer straps. The frame and hip belt, in combination with a molded foam back panel and dual density shoulder harness, provide this load-carrying pack with a comfortable carry. You can use the load-lifter straps and removable sternum strap to fine-tune your fit.

The pack has a roll-top, cinch closure with crossed straps that help to secure contents. A fully removable lid can be left behind when not needed or converted to a chest pack for peak bagging. A tall vertical zipper allows you to access to main compartment quickly, meaning you can reach those contents at the bottom of the pack without digging. There are 3 side and front compression straps to further secure your gear.

Other features include large fabric side pockets with reinforced bottom panels and cinch closures, a large front stretch pocket, and dual hipbelt pockets with DWR-treated zippers. Inside, there is a hydration sleeve with an exit port to accommodate a reservoir (reservoir not included). In high-impact and high-abrasion areas, Granite Gear uses an exclusive 210 denier triple ripstop nylon fabric to protect your pack’s contents.

Nice pack

Likes

I bought this for two backpack trips in the Grand Canyon. The first trip we all started off with 50 pounds. I was really happy to have this pack for that much weight. It performed wonderfully considering the load. I loved the big hip pockets. I also really liked the size and design of the side pockets with the draw cord.

Dislikes

The hydration bladder pocket is too small. I was trying to top off my MSR 3 liter bladder and it would not fit. Also the top has a old school tent flap toggle to hold up the bladder. Totally useless.

Dislikes

None so far, have not used for heavy load yet but reviews suggest this won't be issue.

Perfect remake of a great pack by a great company

Likes

Amazing material quality and upgraded stretch mesh. HUGE side pocket/water bottle storage compartments. Adjustable hip and torso lengths. Tons of versatility/packability

Dislikes

Adjustable torso links “clink” around some for extra noise, but when weighted down there is no issue.
