Description

Named after the sacred plant used for ancient Chinese paper lanterns, the Snow Peak Hozuki LED Lantern offers functionality in a stylish and unique format. Ideal for car camping or base camping, it can also be converted to a rechargeable lantern (battery pack sold separately).

A powerful LED provides 100 Lumens of brightness and the silicone rubber globe diffuses the light for effective overhead use. A large Hozuki Lamp Shade (sold separately) can add further ambience and maximize brightness. An integrated cord and hanging hook make it simple to suspend the lantern. Three integrated settings allow you to adjust brightness and a truly innovative Candle Mode feature enables the LED to respond directly to sound or wind, flickering in a way that mirrors traditional candlelight.

The burn time of the lantern on its lowest setting is 80 hours. It is powered by 3 AA alkaline batteries (not included) or can be converted to a rechargeable lantern with the Snow Peak Hozuki Battery Pack (sold separately).

I bought the rechargeable battery pack for this lantern as well since I'm not too fond of carrying disposables when I camp. This is a fantastic little light that kept my BA Big House 4 well-lit during the night. Durable construction, and I like the adjustable hook design.

Dislikes

I would strongly suggest waiting for a sale before purchasing this and the rechargeable pack though. Snow Peak makes great gear, but their MSRP is up there for similar items you could get for less.
