A Great Light-Weight Tent
Likes
Love this tent; Very packable for backpacking and works just as well for a small car camping tent. Super simple to setup; Color coded support poles align well to locations in tent and one person can do it by themselves. Easy to pick up when open and shake any dirt out of as you pick it up. Love the value of the interior lights - and they haven't failed after using the tent for 2 years. Love all the pockets - wonderfully located on top and sides, with plenty of storage options. It's worth the money IMO. Recommend buying a good footprint with it to protect it's bottom.

After 2 years, my biggest dislike is the zipper - it can can stuck in the loose fabric that covers it; this happens to frequently; so you have to be careful when zippering; i had this happen during a rain storm and it was bit painful.

Used 30 nights last year in the PNW: If you can snag this on sale, there's not a better option for its price and weight other than trekking pole tents - Perfect for 2 adults with gear inside - Can hold up to wind storms on ridge lines, but will likely need the guy outs or tent can poles can collapse (we left behind our stakes the day before and the tent needs the extra guy outs for extreme wind, does not need the guy outs for moderate wind) - Pockets provide amble storage for sweaty gear or clothes that need to air out overnight - Excellent ventilation options, condensation was never an issue - Comfortably fit a 25" and 23" sleeping pad - Vestibule tested during a hail storm, works flawlessly - While mtnGLO is not a necessity for UL, for the weight it was a very appreciated feature. Not overly bright and doesn't effect your neighbors

- Zippers are okay - this is due to its weight, so not a major knock, be careful/patient and you will be fine- I am not a huge fan of the stowaway option of the rainfly when unzipping the fly to access the doors. It never wants to roll nicely to the top and the side storage tie out option restricts access to the door - minor dislike- Footprint is a bit too heavy so didn't get to test the fly only option, wish there was a lighter option as this tent needs one - used polycro and no holes on the floor. I would not test this tent without a ground sheet on rocky terrain if using for long distance hikes- Tent pole cord snapped, was repairable in the field, but was slightly disappointed how warranty claim handled. Decided to purchase shock chord on my own for a repair at home- I see no way 3 inflatable pads can fit in this tent. Truly a comfy 2P tent with plenty of storage for all gear

Good tent but I like the old version better.

Roomy for two adults with 10 days worth of backpacking/hunting gear. I love all of the storage pockets for keeping stuff organized.

I don’t like the new doors as much as my old Krumholtz. I think they should’ve made them have an attachment at one of the corners of the top of the door too. It would make it easier to get in and out without getting wet. In the rain the water really wants to run off of the doors into the tent when going in and out. We tried several different ways of opening the doors(including setting up the awning on trekking poles) and just ended up deciding we don’t like the setup.

Lightweight, very easy color coded setup...less than 5 mins, great stakes, inside glow lights are fab!

The porch-style vestibule with hiking poke setup doesn't work as well as I had hoped. Maybe I just need more practice. Chilly on cool mountain nights. Stake the fly in close to the tent to keep in some body heat
