The award-winning, freestanding Big Agnes Fly Creek HV UL2 Solution Dye tent delivers 3-season backpacking livability at a trail weight of less than 2 pounds! Solution-dyed fabrics improve UV-resistance and reduce energy consumption during the manufacturing process.

Tapered from the head to the foot of the tent, the interior of the tent measures 52" at its widest point and stretches a full 86" in length. The 28 square feet of interior space provides ample room for 2 backpackers or serves as a roomy shelter for one. An integrated vestibule offers 8 square feet of additional weather-protected external storage space. The High Volume architecture of the single-hub pole increases the verticality of the sidewalls and the door so that there is more headroom, elbow room, and overall livable space inside the tent. Interior mesh pockets and an oversized media pocket provide places to stash gear and clothes while integrated gear loft loops offer a connection point for the Big Agnes Triangle Gear Loft (sold separately).

Ample mesh on the tent body and a large mesh door maximize cross ventilation and provide circulation to fight condensation build-up. Coated with 1200mm water-repellent polyurethane, the silicone-treated rip-stop nylon floor and rainfly are lightweight and durable. All of the tent's seams are sealed with waterproof, solvent-free polyurethane tape (no PVC or VOCs) to further protect the tent from the elements.

Lightweight, collapsible DAC Featherlite NFL pre-bent poles provide the tent with freestanding structure. The single hub/pole design works in conjunction with the tent body's integrated clips to make freestanding setup fast, easy and intuitive. Included Dirt Dagger UL aluminum stakes allow you to maximize the tautness of your pitch and increase structural stability.

If you really want to travel light, leave the tent body at home and use the rainfly alone with the optional Fly Creek HV UL2 Footprint (sold separately) for a tarp-style set-up that weighs a mere 1 pound, 9 ounces!

UL for Doggie Adventures

After a lot of research, I decided on this tent for future adventures with my pup. Higher peak height, more overall square feet, extra inch at the foot, and larger vestibule than other 2p tents in this weight range. Set it up inside and have some initial impressions. Extremely easy set up. The interior stash pockets are a great size for shoving phone, battery pack, buff, etc. Nice size overhead pocket as well. One of the things I noticed when setting it up, was the amount of space between the tent body and fly, which will aid in minimizing any condensation. Despite the light color, you cannot see through the fly from the outside, which is great! This is fantastic choice for one person who wants a lot of extra space or for a hiker with a dog who is looking to minimize weight. Two people would fit in this tent if you like each other,(52" at head to 42" at feet) Pretty standard with any light or ultralight 2p tent, but this one does feel more spacious than the Nemo Hornet 2p (which was my previous 2p tent). .
