Easy to set-up and durably constructed, the Big Agnes Three Forks Shelter offers excellent protection from the sun. The 10' x 10' structure is equally at home in the campground, on the beach, or at festivals.

Lightweight DAC aluminum poles work in tandem with durable clips and sleeves to grant sturdy, freestanding structure. The polyester taffeta fly has a 1500mm waterproof polyurethane coating to protect against the elements. A webbing connection frame at the base of the structure increases rigidity without adding excess weight. Openings on all four sides of the shelter provide easy entry and maximize airflow. Integrated connection points allow for the use of the Big Agnes Three Forks Shelter Accessory Wall (sold separately) for increased sun protection and privacy.

Each Big Agnes Three Forks Shelter includes a storage sack and aluminum hook stakes.

  • Two large, wide-open entry points make it a breeze to walk in and out of the shelter without having to duck
  • Pre-bent pole architecture offers tons of volume and livable space
  • Fits over a standard picnic table
  • Two open sidewalls
  • The Big Agnes Three Forks Accessory Wall panel (sold separately) may be attached to any side with toggles to block prevailing wind or sun, or may be removed to create four open sides

Really great concept with some design flaws

Lightweight, portable, reasonably water resistant. The two tall sides are easy to enter/exit the tent. Kept about 2/3rds of the items underneath dry during light rain showers. The internal loops are nice for hanging LED string lights.

The straps are not removable and due to the design they'll always be exposed to the elements (not covered by the canopy). This makes cleaning/setup/disassembly/packing very cumbersome. Be prepared for a mess of straps that easily get all tangled up. If they were completely detachable I'd find this canopy much more useful so I can wash and pack them separately. The shape of the tent is very much a "dome" so the covered area for shade or rain protection is a bit limited. Assembly is definitely a two person ordeal with poles that extend VERY far out which could make this difficult to set up if you have limited space. Having to thread the poles through fabric feels pretty outdated compared to newer tent/shelter designs that use clips exclusively and the poles tend to get caught in the material pretty easily.

Small pack size, adequate size and wind resistance

Compared to a full size awning, this thing is a champ. It's very light weight and provides decent coverage over a picnic table. I purchased this to supplement a full size canopy because this one will actually fit in a mid-size SUV with the rear seats up.

Difficult to keep dirt out of the stuff sack when packing up. Not a huge deal. It's very hard to find the size panels for this, and if rain is anything but vertical, it will get through the sides of the canopy.
