I really like the Black Diamond Tech Tip design. A lot of the trails here are rock or hard pack and do better with rubber tips. These are perfect for those trails, but work equally well when hiking on a softer surface. So far they’re holding up extremely well, but time will tell.

Nothing really. They might require a pair of pliers to change out which could be a problem on the trail.

As an old guy, I sometimes dig pretty hard with my t'poles. Though a wee bit slippery, these tips still allow me to do that And they're quiet! No more, "clack..clack.."
