Deuter Kid Comfort Child Carrier

A favorite among on-the-go parents, the Deuter Kid Comfort employs German engineering and tested safety features to ensure an enjoyable adventure for you and your child. A fully adjustable suspension system and extensive padding combine to deliver a comfortable fit.

The carrier offers the firm support you need for longer-duration hiking but is also compact enough for everyday use. A locking kickstand makes the carrier sturdy when standing on its own. Further, the aluminum frame has a broad platform, making it unlikely to tip over. Dual grab handles are convenient for picking up the carrier.

The sensible seat and foot rests adjust in height and width to accommodate a growing child. A practical 5-point safety harness with color-coded buckles offers maximum security, allowing for easy handling and adjustment. A side entry with buckle closure allows you to easily situate your child in the seat. Note: the carrier is suitable for children who can sit up by themselves. Two side stretch pockets, a stretch front slot pocket with an adjustable hook, and a large bottom zippered pocket give you places for clothing, diapers and other gear.

The pack's VariSlide harness system accommodates varying torso lengths (15"-21") of parents and relies on the compression and expansion of Aircontact foam to provide ventilation and further enhance load-carrying comfort. Soft, breathable fabrics and ventilated mesh in the back, perforated shoulder straps and VariFlex ECL hip belt help to keep you cool and comfortable on your child-hauling adventures. The hip belt has pull-forward technology to make adjustments easy. Load-lifter straps and shoulder and lumbar padding aid in the distribution of weight, providing further stability and comfort.

Airy and soft materials line the child’s seating area – padding the frame in the seating area – with stronger, washable fabrics near the feet. Ergonomically cushioned pillow and side support cushions support your child’s head. A low-profile chin pad is included, but, if you want to provide your child with a more plush resting spot, Deuter does offer a softer KC Chin Pad (sold separately).

The carrier includes a sunroof to shade your child. The full-length KC Raincover Deluxe (sold separately) can be attached to the Kid Comfort to further protect from the elements.

A long, zippered pocket on the back allows you to carry the included sunroof or a hydration system (reservoir not included). A 3M reflector keeps you visible, an integrated holder secures your keys, and zippered hip belt pockets secure smaller items.
