Description

Offering versatility for gear-intensive day hikes or lightweight overnighters, the Gregory Icarus 40 Youth pack provides young adventures with maximum performance in a pack that's sized right for them.

An HDPE framesheet provides the pack with lightweight support and a die-cut foam backpanel adds additional cushioning. The height of the integrated harness can be adjusted to accommodate torsos ranging from 13"-18" in length. An adjustable sternum strap (with a built-in safety whistle) and load-lifter straps further enhance the fit of the pack and ensure load stability while allowing convenient on-the-go adjustment.

The pack's top-loading main compartment offers over 2400 cubic inches of storage capacity. A separate sleeping bag compartment is accessed through a zippered entry at the bottom of the pack. Side and bottom compression straps keep the contents of the pack stowed security. There is also a large stretch mesh stuff pocket on the front of the pack and two zippered pockets on the pack's lid. Side stretch mesh pockets are ideal for water bottles.

Other features include twin trekking pole attachment points, multiple gear lash points, and an internal sleeve that makes the pack hydration system compatible (hydration system sold separately).

Great pack for my growing 9 yo!

Good quality, plenty of pockets, great layout

Love the layout and pockets of this pack. Plenty of storage options for gear. one would need to pay attention not to overload the little backpackers.

Dislikes

Fit seems to be slightly on the large size foe a 7 year old. not a deal breaker as we will keep it light, and be making short trips. right now its about short trips with plenty of breaks. Ole PaPa is not opposed to frequent breaks. Seems to be a great pack.
