The sleek Kahtoola INSTAgaiter Low is a lightweight water-resistant gaiter that provides trail runners hikers and fast-packers with streamlined protection from rocks and debris. The 5”-inch high gaiter best fits trail running shoes and low-cut hiking shoes.

The stretch-woven nylon and polyurethane blend fabric provides durability breathability and quick-drying performance. While the gaiter isn't fully waterproof a DWR coating does help it shed moisture.

The gaiter fits closely against your shoe with the top closure 4–5 inches above your ankle. A sturdy adjustable thermoplastic polyurethane strap runs over the instep. A top adjustable elastic drawcord and an asymmetrical zipper seal the gaiter from the elements and ensure a close fit.

I’ll be honest, I’m not a big user of gaiters just because I really value breathability and maneuverability. But, the trim, lightweight, and low-profile INSTAgaiter doesn’t hinder either of those and has been a welcome companion on dusty trail runs or on early, dewy mornings where a little bit of protection is appreciated.

I like the zipper. It makes it easy to get on and take off.

Dislikes

I think I would like more coverage on the mid, but that is personal preference. I'm not a fan of the piece that wraps around the bottom of the shoe. It seems really think and rigid.
