Fits my katadyn hiker water purifier perfectly. I had the original filter for more than ten years and it always gave me clean water to drink. I just wanted to replace it with a new filter.

I have used these for years and they have never let me down. I always keep an extra one around as a backup. Does take a while to filter water at times but for dependability it cannot be beat, in my opinion.

I'm a little old fashion and still prefer my Katadyn filter over the lighter filters that hikers are using these days. I do 2 sections hikes/year on the AT and usually replace my filter every year. I always keep a spare element in my camping gear closet

I have been using the Pro Hiker filter for 6 years, I have replaced the cartridge three times so far, install is easy, comes with the filter prescreen, overall I still love my filter system even tho the gravity systems are lighter. Having access to the cartridge allows for simple cleaning in the field and also allows a deeper cleaning when you get home. Will buy again and again!

Came with lube and filter screen. I love the Katadyn Hiker Pro and change the filter each spring..

I can use it with the Hiker or the Base Camp.

Filter clogs more easily in the Base Camp bag if you aren't careful to get water that doesn't have sediment floating in it.

It just works. I seem to be averaging a new filter about every 24-36 months so I used a coupon to stock up for an forecasted change out this summer.

These things are way expensive but are worth it to have safe drinking water.
