Kelty Coyote 65 (Closeout) Internal Frame Backpack

The Kelty Coyote 65 internal frame backpack is an excellent balance of performance, capacity (3950 cubic inches), and affordability. It also features Kelty’s innovative PerfectFIT suspension. Load-hauling capability, convenient access points, and an array of features combine to equip the pack for overnight and weekend backpacking trips.

The PerfectFIT suspension system provides accurate on-body size adjustment, allowing you to customize your fit in seconds. With PerfectFIT, gone are the days of taking measurements and trying on various pack sizes in a gear shop to determine the best fit for your particular body (or ordering a pack online that may or may not fit once you’ve received it). The pack’s PerfectFIT accommodates torso lengths ranging from 15.5 to 21 inches. A single lightweight aluminum stay, a horizontal anti-barreling stay, and an HDPE framesheet deliver trustworthy support. This design provides stability and load-bearing strength while avoiding the unwieldy rigidity of external frame packs. Hex mesh on the padded backpanel and waistbelt provides excellent cushioning and ventilation. Load lifter straps relieve stress on your shoulders and an adjustable sternum strap positions the shoulder straps across the chest to prevent chafing under the arms and on the shoulders.

The top-loading pack also incorporates an innovative design on the lowest portion of the packbag that provides wide access through the bottom of pack. This feature makes it much easier to get a sleeping bag, clothes or other gear in and out of the Coyote 65 than is often the case with the compartment access on many packs of comparable carrying capacity. A zippered front panel offers additional quick access to your gear from the front of the pack. The lid of the pack can be removed entirely for use as a sleek sling pack. A large stretch pocket on the front of the pack is perfect for keeping additional layers at the ready.

Additional features include a front zippered pocket, zippered side pockets, integrated compression straps, a carry handle, ice-axe loops, and dual mesh water bottle pockets. A lined interior pocket and built-in tube exit make the pack hydration system (sold separately) compatible.
