The Kelty Galactic 30 Degree sleeping bag has a roomy rectangular cut, is insulated with lightweight and compressible down, and zippers open completely so it can be used as a bag or a blanket. Best of all, this versatility is available at a budget-friendly price.
This sleeping bag is insulated with 550-fill down, so you benefit from its excellent warmth-to-weight ratio and compressibility. Kelty's down is PFC-free and ethically sourced through Allied Feather + Down, which is an RDS (Responsible Down Standard) certified supplier. The 30 degree temperature rating makes the bag best for summer or warm weather use.
The bag is hoodless, but an integrated drawstring cinch does allow you to pull the top of the bag close to your head to maximize warmth. A two-way anti-snag zipper runs the full-length of the bag and continues the whole way across the feet. This allows you to open the bag up completely for use as a blanket or comforter. It also lets you mate it to a separate Galactic bag to make a double-wide bag. There is an insulated draft at the zipper to keep the cold air out so you stay cozy all night long.
