The Lowa Men's Locarno GTX Mid is a true crossover boot. It's got the fit and performance features needed for hiking but also has a sleek aesthetic that looks great on city streets.

The upper is a combination of Nubuck leather and forgiving synthetic fabric. This hybrid design nicely balances durability and breathability. It also provides nice stability without the stiffness of an all-leather boot. The embossed split leather upper provides supportive durability. A GORE-TEX lining helps to keep your foot dry and comfortable. A bi-component midsole cushions your foot and helps to reduce fatigue. An ATC insole provides enhances cushioning and support.

The Lowa Hybrid Trac rubber outsole offers responsive traction on varied surfaces. Its low-profile design keeps the boot from being overly "clunky" during every day wear.

The Lowa Men's Locarno GTX Mid boot is available in men's full and half sizes. To keep the leather on this boot in good shape and to prevent water absorption in the upper for the life of the boot you should apply a leather conditioner or wax paste (both sold separately) waterproofing treatment.

Great all around boot

Comfortable, this boot doubles for an urban shoe as well as a rugged hiking boot. What I like is that it’s a shoe that can be worn to a social occasion and then the next day you can hike a Mountain. One boot for multiple occasions.
