Sporting an innovative design for additional storage space, the Marmot Limelight 2P tent offers lightweight, durable construction, a breathable mesh canopy, and an included protective footprint for 3-season backpacking or camping. In addition to the interior side wing storage, this livable 2-person tent has smart organizational features to help you enjoy your down time at camp.
Intended to house up to two campers, the standard sleeping area of the tent measures 88.2" x 55.1" at the widest point. But at the head of the tent, Marmot has designed side wings that extend the tent's interior by 30" on either side. This allows for more gear storage and an overall roomier feel and brings the tent's interior space up to 51.7 square feet. The rainfly's integrated vestibules completely cover the side wings and provide weather-protected entryways for the dual doors on either side. Interior mesh pockets and a laundry line at the top of the tent provide out-of-the-way storage and hanging options. An integrated lampshade pocket stows your headlamp and converts it for use as an ambient lantern (headlamp not included).
Aluminum poles provide the tent with support and freestanding structure. Pre-bent poles at each corner increase the verticality of the sidewalls, resulting in a ton of elbow room and a greater feeling of livability than tents with poles that taper directly from the ground to the top of the tent. Integrated clips allow the body of the tent to attach quickly, easily, and securely to the poles. The freestanding design enables you to set up the tent and then move it around your chosen campsite to find the optimal rock-and-root-free position. Note that while the main tent body is freestanding, the side wings are designed to be staked out in conjunction with the rainfly to provide structure.
Polyester no-see-um mesh panels in the walls and ceiling, as well as vents in the rainfly, allow air to circulate and combat condensation. The weatherproof polyester floor and full coverage rainfly combine to protect the interior of the tent from the elements. A custom-fit footprint is included to further protect the floor of the tent from sharp objects, mud, and ground water.
