Despite weighing less than 3 pounds, the Marmot Lithium 0 Degree sleeping bag is an ideal choice for cold weather backpacking. An array of features and 800+ fill water-resistant down insulation equip the bag for backcountry adventure.

The Lithium 0 Degree is insulated with certified 800+ fill goose down. Fill power measures the loft or "fluffiness" of down insulation and Marmot goes to great lengths to guarantee the 800+ certification with a battery of in-house and external verifications. Renowned for their efficiency in retaining heat and compressible properties, the feathers and fibers of down have an incredibly soft, comfortable feel and, despite advances in synthetic materials, continue to provide the best warmth-to-weight ratio of any insulation available. The one weakness of down insulation is that it loses much of its ability to maintain warmth when it gets wet; this is less of a problem in the Lithium 0 Degree, though, since the down in this bag is protected with Marmot’s Down Defender water repellent treatment that allows the down to stay drier 10 times longer than untreated down in damp conditions. Down Defender down also maintains significantly more loft and dries faster than untreated down.

Despite its lightweight construction, the Lithium 0 Degree makes no sacrifice with regards to performance and features. Eliminating cold spots and providing comfort, sewn-through baffles ensure that the insulation is distributed evenly throughout the bag. The contoured, ergonomic hood helps reduce heat loss and keeps your head warm and comfortable. An insulated draft tube sewn behind the full-length zipper keeps cold air from reaching the inside of the sleeping bag and zipper guards help to avoid irritating and damaging snags. A “fold down” second zipper enables you to vent the bag when needed and also makes it easier to get in and out of the bag. An anatomically-designed footbox provides a more natural fit and improves warmth and comfort.

Filled and finished in the USA (Rohnert Park, CA), the Marmot Lithium 0 Degree sleeping bag is available in Regular (fits up to 6' 0") and Long (fits up to 6' 6") lengths. A stuff sack and storage sack are included.

Killer bag and crazy light!

Haven't had a chance to use the bag in intense cold yet, but the loft is incredible. Stuffs down small enough for cold gear backpacking that it wouldn't be an issue, and for the temp rating 10/10 would buy again.

Dislikes

Nothing honestly. Maybe the price? But you get what you pay for. But once cry once, bite the bullet and but a top quality piece of gear that's going to last and you'll be happy in the long run.

Warm!

This bag provides great warmth and I have never even fully utilized the hood feature. That being said, I also use a Nemo Tensor with an R-value of 4.8 and have only dealt with temps in the low 30's thus far. Marmot seems to have built this bag with high quality materials and I hope to get years of usage out of it.

Dislikes

Only one... No compression sack! And the bag barely fits in the provided sack. I purchased a Sea to Summit compression sack and it is worth the $30 extra dollars to avoid going to war every time I break camp trying to stuff the bag in the stock sack.

Decent Balance of Weight and Warmth

Weight is exactly 3.0-lbs Just enough warmth. When paired with a proper thermal mat. This bag is splitting the hairs between warmth and weight. It's kept me warm in the snow in Montana mountains late September. Will be trying it in the winter too. Total Bag weight, paired with a medium sized sea2summit stuff sack = 3.0 lbs.

It's not nearly as warm as a 20+ year old EMS -5 Down Bag.

The zipper is snag free, loft is really great, it's super toasty, the color makes it very distinct from my summer bag, and the fit and finish seems very thorough.

The loose storage bag is great, but can barely contain the sheer volume of this cozy behemoth.

Lightweight, durable, satiny soft, with Pertex Quantum, bluesign approved, fabric. Zippers slide easy, snag-free. Like the fold down, blanket-like, feature with extra zipper. Long fits well at shoulders, length. Packs down small. Well-made, true to Marmot's quality standards.
