The award-winning MSR Hubba Hubba 2 tent does everything backpackers could ask of it and does it well. The freestanding 2-person tent is lightweight, truly durable, and far roomier than a lot of backpacking tents in its weight class.
Measuring 84" x 50", the tent offers 29 square feet of livable interior space with an ample 40" interior peak height. Dual vestibules provide a total of 15 square feet of dry, protected external storage space.
Ensuring weather protection and banishing insects from the interior of the tent, the canopy is a combination of 20D ripstop nylon with a durable water repellent finish and breathable 10D polyester micromesh. The durable 20D ripstop nylon floor and rainfly are coated with a premium DuraShield PU treatment to provide reliable long-lasting waterproof protection. The rainfly overhangs the doorways even when the vestibule is open, creating gutters to keep rain from entering when you do. The fly can also be rolled wide open to promote cross-ventilation and offer an unrestricted view of clear night skies. The freestanding design means that you can pitch your tent and then easily move it around to find the perfect spot.
The tent's spacious support configuration includes two poles that function as a single hubbed unit, making setup fast and simple. Easton's virtually indestructible Syclone composite poles are an excellent balance of flexibility, rigidity, weight, and durability.
The MSR Universal 2 Person Footprint-Regular (sold separately) fits the Hubba Hubba 2 and can further protect the floor of the tent from wet ground, roots, and rocks.
