Description

Weighing just 7.5 ounces and packing down to 4.4" x 4", the MSR Trail Mini Solo Cook Set includes all the cookware necessary for solo backpackers.

The system consists of a 0.75 liter hard-anodized aluminum pot with an insulated grip, a strainer lid with a sip-through design, a 16 ounce polypropylene bowl, and an ultra-lightweight pot lifter. All of the pieces nest neatly together and leave room for a compact backpacking stove and a 4 ounce fuel canister (both sold separately).

Compact and handy

Likes

This weighs about the same as my girl scout kit I was using, but is much more compact and easier to use. The lid and measuring cup fit on the pot and the handle helps you steer the boiling water. The little net bag is handy for keeping all the parts together in your pack. You could possibly make it lighter by leaving the net bag and measuring cup behind, but I think it's handy. It doubles as a coffee cup or bowl.

Dislikes

The handle has to be clamped on the pot, but otherwise, it would be sticking out in your pack.
