Description

An ultra-lightweight, performance-oriented option for thru-hiking or trail running, close-fitting Outdoor Research Ferrosi Hybrid gaiters use a combination of fabrics to keep out debris, deliver temperature regulation, and provide water-resistance, abrasion-resistance, and breathability.

The center front of the gaiters is a highly breathable recycled polyester and elastane knit jersey. The bluesign-approved 90D blend of nylon and spandex at the rear ankles is water-resistant, wind-resistant, and abrasion-resistant. This combination of fabrics allows the gaiters to dry quickly, achieves a UPF 50+ sun rating, and offers movement-mirroring stretch. ActiveIce technology actually lowers skin temperature by utilizing endothermic cooling when wicking moisture.

The gaiters' low-profile design best pairs with trail shoes and running shoes. To ensure a proper fit, the gaiters have front shoelace hooks, elastic top hems, and replaceable Hypalon instep straps.

I don’t often wear gaiters for running but some winter conditions in particular have me wanting to extend protective coverage a little farther up the leg. Decent Gaiters, kind of hard to remove

Likes

light weight I'm able to tuck the bottoms of my hiking pants under them. The clips keeps the gaiters secure on your shoes

Dislikes

A little awkward to clip on. Difficult to remove the clip from the shock cord when you want to take them offI've worn them on 2 hikes and the strap that goes underneath your shoe is starting to fray already
