Description

Lightweight quick-drying and delivering UPF 50+ sun protection Outdoor Research Men's Equinox Convert Pants are perfect for hiking backpacking or traveling in hot and humid climates. Supplex nylon and spandex stretch fabrication provides comfort and a water-resistant finish increases performance.

A removable belt is included and integrated belt loops and “tunnels” allow you to use a different belt. Ten inch ankle zippers allows the pants to go on and come off easily while still delivering a “close to the boot” fit when on. Articulated knees and a gusseted crotch further enhance movement and comfort.

Men's Equinox Convert Pants offer versatility by allowing you to zip off the bottom half of the legs to turn the pants into shorts when temperatures rise. To add warmth protect your legs from underbrush or keep out ticks and bugs zip the pants legs back on and cinch in the ankle drawcords. Color-coded zippers on each leg make it easy to convert the shorts back into pants.

The pants boast an array of trail-or-travel-friendly pockets. There are two rear pockets with “tack down” flaps two front hand pockets and a zippered thigh pocket.

Excellent Pants I Will Take on a Thru Hike

Lightweight, airy, breathable, comfortable, soft to the skin but tough, doesn't fit baggy, included lightweight belt, plenty of pockets...

Dislikes

Perhaps this is an issue with all convertible pants in my experience, but the place where the convertible zipper is is noticeable as the pants slide on your thighs with each step. It's a minor issue and I'm sure I can get used to it and may not be an issue particular with this model.
