Description

The Outdoor Research Men's Stormcraft Down Parka offers windproof and waterproof protection and warmth to combat the harshest winter conditions and storms. This down-insulated GORE-TEX jacket offers durability and weather-protective features like a storm flap, wrist cuff gaiters, and a high coverage and insulated adjustable hood.

The shell is a two-layer GORE-TEX 150D polyester canvas. This rugged outer fabric fends off wind and is completely waterproof. Abundant 700+ fill power responsibly sourced down provides the jacket's insulation. Renowned for their compressible properties and efficiency in providing insulation, the feathers and fibers of down have an incredibly soft comfortable feel and continue to provide the best warmth-to-weight ratio of any insulation available. A fully adjustable hood keeps you dry in rain or snow. An external insulated front snap storm flap over the full-length YKK Vislon front zipper, a drawcord hem, and wrist cuff gaiters further seal out the elements.

The parka offers a multitude of pockets to keep your gear close at hand. On the exterior, there are two high chest pockets with YKK Aquaguard zippers, two handwarmer pockets with a brushed tricot lining, and two drop-in pockets with a snap closure. There are two interior pockets; a zippered chest pocket and a large mesh stash pocket.

Available in your choice of colors and sizes, the Outdoor Research Men's Stormcraft Down Parka has an extended length cut and a relaxed fit that allows you to comfortably layer underneath it.

Great Parka... for non-athletic build

Great Quality all around, and every feature I was looking for in an insulated parka. Every pocket was soft and hand warming. Every pocket was large enough for a large phone. It had a lot of pockets for all the things. Tons of warm down. Windproof, waterproof Gore-tex shell. All the boxes were checked. However...

Dislikes

I'm 6'1 and about 160 and am medium is just about everything from every company. Got the medium OR Stormcraft and the sleeves and shoulders were right on, but the midsection is way too big. It looked like I was wearing a poncho. If there was a draw cord, or if it was tailored a bit like the women's version it would have been a keeper, but the draw cord is at the bottom, and tightening that didn't help the situation at all. So, I tried a small. This time, the torso was just about right, and even the sleeves could have passed, but there was not nearly enough shoulder or chest room, especially if I tried to layer anything besides a thin shirt.
