Wide, stiff brim to protect ears, face, and neck Chin strap is great for keeping the hat on your head for both gusts and steady winds Sturdy material holds up to constant outdoor use. Occasional cleaning will remove sweat stains Great hatband adds to the comfort As a trail worker, love this hat and wear it every day

Love this hat.

Light weight. Cowboy hat like styling. Brim retained shape after washing machine delicate cycle wash...did not use dryer. Used on recent backpacking trip in Rocky Mountain National Park and I wore it the entire 3-day hike. Stayed on in a breeze. No rain so I don't know how well it works in the rain. I'll update if possible after rain test.

I own a different OR sun hat and I purchased this one as a Christmas gift. The hat is very well made, lightweight, and folds up small. The brim is a good size and will be excellent for sun protection.

Bought this hat after having skin cancer removed from my ear. It really does a good job of keeping hte sun off.
