Full of performance features the Outdoor Research Sombriolet Sun Hat delivers UPF 50+ protection. A broad foam-stiffened brim with flexible piping provides both glare and wind protection. A mesh-lined crown and TransAction headband provide a cool comfortable and contoured fit. A rear vent increases ventilation. An adjustable draw-cord chin strap enhances fit and can be removed if not needed.

While not technically waterproof, the nylon construction will provide protection from minor showers and spritzes until you reach your destination. Multiple adjustments offer a customized fit, making this hat a must have for any kind of beach trip or long hike when canopies are at a minimum.

Really like this hat!

Hat provides great coverage and a comfortable fit. Pretty decent at repelling water.
