Most comfortable backpacking air pad
Likes
This pad is the most comfortable backpacking air pad I've tried. I find it significantly more comfortable than the Thermarest NeoAir XTherm, the Nemo Tensor Alpine Insulated pad, and the Exped Downmat 9 XP pad. Part of what makes it so comfortable is that it's 4 inches thick and you can take a lot of air out of it to make the pad conform to your body. The valve system is the best I've ever seen on an aid pad.

I'd like to see Sea to Summit make a 4 season version of this pad.

Good for warm weather

Very comfortable mat. Lightweight! Sturdy material & quiet. The welds on the fabric seem to be very sturdy.

At 38 degrees in my Western Mountaineering 25 degree Terralite, I was feeling cold spots on my hips, back, shoulders. I'm afraid the large air volume is difficult to insulate. Better for warmer weather.

Luxurious and Light - sort of

Transitioning from the neoair xlite and was looking to sacrifice some ounces for a more comfortable night's sleep. Enter the ether light xt insulated. This pad is supremely comfortable and feels quite durable. The "air sprung cells" really hug your body and feel quite stable. Being an active sleeper I always felt like being on the neoair was a bit of a balancing act. I have yet to experience the "warmth" factor but that point is typically irrelevant because there are too many variables that affect our sleeping comfort (temp wise). I'm grateful that all manufacturers are mostly adhering to r-values now. Blowing up this pad with the included stuff sack/pump sack couldn't be easier.

There aren't many but the big one is WEIGHT. I knew going in from previous reviews on other platforms that S2S's weights were wrong. There was no exception here. S2S's claimed weight was 19.4 oz for the pad alone (the rectangular regular wide). My pad weighed 21.5 oz. This did not include the stuff sack or the pillow lock strips. This was disappointing. It's still a great pad but I wish the weights had been more accurate.

Good night’s sleep

Very comfortable and warm. The included stuff sack works as a pump bag making inflation super quick and easy.
Dislikes
The crinkling noise was a bit loud when I turned over during the night but the noise was not excessive.
