Description

Designed especially for female backpackers, the Sea to Summit Women’s Ether Light XT Insulated Mat offers a 4”-thick sleeping base, has a 3.5 R-Value, and weighs about a pound. An innovative pump sack makes inflation fast and easy.

Shaped with narrow shoulders and wider hips than standard Sea to Summit pads, the brand's Women's pads are specifically-designed to provide female adventurers with better warmth and comfort.

Interconnected chambers formed by a dot-welded pattern, the pad’s unique Air Sprung Cells create a supportive sleeping base that better conforms to your sleeping body than traditional vertical or horizontal baffles.

Dual thermal technologies equip the pad for use in colder temperatures. A lightweight, non-woven metalized fabric, Exkin Platinum prevents convective heat loss. This pliable fabric is also quieter than some “crinklier” fabrics used to achieve heat reflectivity. A layer of Thermolite insulation adds enhanced warmth.

A stand-out feature on Sea to Summit pads is the low-profile multi-function valve. A one-way design allows for fuss-free inflation and an internal button lets you make micro adjustments to firmness. A larger port beneath the top portion of the valve makes deflation quick and easy. Additionally, by setting flush to the surface of the pad, the valve also cuts down on potential warranty issues. A pump sack is built into the included stuff sack, making inflation easy and keeping moisture out of the interior of the pad.

The Sea to Summit Women’s Ether Light XT Insulated Mat is available in your choice of Regular (66” x 21.5”) and Large (72” x 25”) size options.

Comfortable, but is too thick a thing?

Likes

Pad is very comfortable to sleep on and reasonably warm for the weight. The little bit of extra width vs normal 20'' wide pads makes a big comfort difference as well.

Dislikes

Takes a long time to blow up (you really need a pump sack - the Exped Schnozzel works). Is a little on the bulky side when packed up. And it's almost too thick - I have noticeably less room in my tent with this pad than with others.

Nice pad, but a bit small for me

Likes

Nice pad, very light weight and the inflation bag works like a dream. Packs up small. Comfortable, but a bit noisy.

Dislikes

It's a bit narrow for me, a tall side-sleeper with very long legs. I found when testing it out that my knees slid of the mat. May try one of the rectangular sizes instead.
