Don't know you need it until you need. Get it now and don't get caught in 30mph gusts trying to put in 14 tent stakes for a spring bar tent in rock hard dirt like I did.

I have a large family tent that needs to be staked securely. I've tried quite a few stakes that have failed because they either bend or some part of them breaks off, because it's made of plastic. These Snow Peak stakes are the answer, because they are made of forged steel. And, the position of the extraction hole is such that it sits above the ground so you don't have to go digging around in the dirt to find a place to pull up the stake.
Dislikes
These are a bit heavy, so you wouldn't use them for backpacking. But for car camping, they are perfect.
