Surprisingly comfortable

Despite being thin and light the Z-Lite offers good comfort. The fail-proof design is another advantage.

It is a little bulky

Excellent overall pad

My inflatable Therm-a-Rest unfortunately popped on my first trip, and while it's ultralight and I love it, I now use this one as extra protection (from both cold and pokey things) underneath it. Works like a charm and adds very little weight. Made in the USA, to me nothing beats Therm-a-Rest. Highly recommended.

Nothing.

Ideal Glass Pad

This product is ideal to cut into tri-fold pieces to use as a glass pad for the backcountry. I wouldn't recommend this for an actual sleeping pad.

Decent

Mat seems like it will provide a decent thermal barrier. Has a decent thickness and is lite weight. Seems made well.

Great value

Great value, very lightweight, packable. Love the eggshell design (no risk of popping) and insulation is great for the summer.
Dislikes
Not the warmest on the market, but DEFINITELY gets the job done for the price.

Awesome product. My son loves it and has been carrying it on his backpack for a few years now. Super lightweight too.
Dislikes
A bit bulky and doesn't come with any way to store it other than strap it to the pack. Doesn't really compress at all.

Much bigger and bulkier than I thought. Wish I had done my research better. I ended up spending more money and getting a better insulated pad that was light and compressed down (inflatable).

In terms of closed cell foam pads, this is the only way to go. The pad is extremely light weight, durable, versatile, and most importantly comfortable. No matter what position I sleep in, I still manage to be relatively comfortable, even if I lay on my side. Granted, its not going to be as comfortable as an air pad, but for the price and how light it is who cares. No more waking up with a sore back.
Dislikes
The only thing I wish it had was a stickier surface so your sleeping bag doesn't have a chance to slide off, but as far as I know, no foam pad does so it still definitely deserves five stars.

I purchased this sleeping pad for my 15 year old son. It rained on our last backpacking trip, and water got in my son's tent. The pad dispersed the water under it and did not soak into the pad.
Dislikes
Tears easily so you have to be careful when you strap it onto a backpack.
