Mat seems like it will provide a decent thermal barrier. Has a decent thickness and is lite weight. Seems made well.

Awesome product. My son loves it and has been carrying it on his backpack for a few years now. Super lightweight too.

Dislikes

A bit bulky and doesn't come with any way to store it other than strap it to the pack. Doesn't really compress at all.

I purchased this sleeping pad for my 15 year old son. It rained on our last backpacking trip, and water got in my son's tent. The pad dispersed the water under it and did not soak into the pad.

Dislikes

Tears easily so you have to be careful when you strap it onto a backpack.

This is a very light pad that will keep you warm, dry and off the ground. It is fairly comfortable especially for the weight. For the price this is a great entry level pad.

Dislikes

As with any foam pad, it loses support over time, but it is still relatively comfortable.

This was purchased for my son who is in scouts. I wanted something that was simple, hard to destroy, light, easy to pack away, and offered good protection from the ground.I don't see for the money how you can do much better.

Dislikes

Since this packs up square,it looks a little odd hanging off the bottom of the pack. It cannot be slid into a backpacks side pockets like many "roll up" mats. However,as a result the pack almost stands up by itself when you set it down, and the square "fold-up" design prevents the mat from rolling up when placed on the tent floor which is actually a plus for a kid.

I used this the pad for the first time on a recent backpacking trip. I like the accordion-style, plus I didn't have a problem with the sleeping bag sliding off the pad. Overall, exactly what I wanted in a closed-cell pad.

Nothing.
