Amazing Service

Because you deserve it.

Designed for cost-conscious, ounce-counting backpackers, the Therm-a-Rest Z-Lite is a compact, closed-cell foam pad. Dual density foam provides a softer sleeping surface and a denser layer of support on the bottom of the Z-Lite.

Description

Specifically designed for cost-conscious, ounce-counting backpackers, the Therm-a-Rest Z-Lite is a super compact, closed-cell foam pad. New construction uses dual density foam to provide a softer sleeping surface and a denser layer of support on the bottom of the Z-Lite.

A compact accordion-style design makes the Z-Lite quick and easy to pack up. The egg carton pattern enhances comfort and traps air underneath your sleeping bag, providing extra warmth. The Z-Lite's closed-cell design is durable and withstands years of use.

The Therm-a-Rest Z-Lite is available in a Regular (20" x 72" x 0.75") size.

  • Accordion-style design lies flat and packs small
  • Lightweight construction designed for ultra-lightweight backpacking
  • Egg-carton pattern enhances warmth and softness

Surprisingly comfortable

Likes

Despite being thin and light the Z-Lite offers good comfort. The fail-proof design is another advantage.

Dislikes

It is a little bulky

Excellent overall pad

My inflatable Therm-a-Rest unfortunately popped on my first trip, and while it's ultralight and I love it, I now use this one as extra protection (from both cold and pokey things) underneath it. Works like a charm and adds very little weight. Made in the USA, to me nothing beats Therm-a-Rest. Highly recommended.

Dislikes

Nothing.

Ideal Glass Pad

Likes

This product is ideal to cut into tri-fold pieces to use as a glass pad for the backcountry. I wouldn't recommend this for an actual sleeping pad.

Great value

Likes

Great value, very lightweight, packable. Love the eggshell design (no risk of popping) and insulation is great for the summer.

Dislikes

Not the warmest on the market, but DEFINITELY gets the job done for the price.

In terms of closed cell foam pads, this is the only way to go. The pad is extremely light weight, durable, versatile, and most importantly comfortable. No matter what position I sleep in, I still manage to be relatively comfortable, even if I lay on my side. Granted, its not going to be as comfortable as an air pad, but for the price and how light it is who cares. No more waking up with a sore back.

Dislikes

The only thing I wish it had was a stickier surface so your sleeping bag doesn't have a chance to slide off, but as far as I know, no foam pad does so it still definitely deserves five stars.

Lightweight, zero risk of it being punctured

Dislikes

A little bulky. I'm going to cut some off the bottom to make this even more lightweight and less bulky.
