High-speed computerized knitting equipment utilizes 100% fine gauge ethically-sourced New Zealand Merino wool and blends it with synthetics to ensure optimal performance. For the most part I like a thin, lightweight sock, but when the temperature dips far enough, I want the warmest socks I can get my feet into and these certainly fit that bill. The extra cushioning amps up warmth but also increases overall comfort inside a standard hiking boot or an insulated winter boot. The wool blend feels so uber-cozy and does a good job of keeping odor at bay. These socks are so comfy that I often end up wearing them around the house like slippers on cold winter days.

DarnTough socks appear to last forever. I have a few pairs of these full cushioned sock that have been worn and washed many times and still have excellent cushioning and warmth for sensitive feet. With the sale, I picked up 4 more pair

Own plenty of darn toughs but usually the midweight. This is my first full cushion to use for winter hiking especially in the Adirondacks. Super comfy, sufficiently warm.

Excellent Trekking Socks!

These socks are incredibly comfortable, incredibly durable, and perfect for all-season hiking. I used to wear other well-known brands, but these DarntTough's aren't as unnecessarily bulky as other trekking socks by other popular brands.
